Memento is the root of Bergamini's odyssey, it is both a pilgrimage and its migration. These mixed media pieces vividly reflect on what is both past and present.
Angelica Bergamini was born in Viareggio (Italy) in 1973. She holds a degree from the Academy of Fine Arts of Florence (Italy) and she has spent long periods of residency in Spain at the University of Granada and at the Museo National Centro de Arte Reina Sofia in Madrid.
Bergamini explores the meaning of colors in an open dialogue with human emotions and natural shapes, while her experimental approach manifests through different medias: from painting and paper-cuts assemblages to video and sculptural installations.
Her works have been presented internationally as part of collective shows in New York (Tanja Grunert; White Box; BRIC Arts Media; Photo New York), London (Chelsea space), Paris (Galerie Arnaud Lefebvre), Stockholm (Färgfabriken) and in Hong Kong (Kwai Fung Hin Art Gallery), besides being part of several private collections worldwide. Bergamini’s most recent shows include her participation to the “Il volo e`una scrittura del corpo nel cielo” - altered book project: 9 artists for a novel by C.Gagliardo, published by Hacca Edizioni, a project curated by Pietro Gagliano`, first launched at Salone Internazionale del Libro in Turin 2015 (Italy) and at Writers Literary Festival 2016 in Milan. She is currently working on a new video series based on the animation of a selection of her previous works on paper.

Angelica Bergamini
Angelica Bergamini is an Italian born New York-based artist. She spent academic years in Spain at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Granada and the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía in Madrid and graduated with honors in painting from the Fine Academy of Art in Florence, Italy. Since 2006 she has been studying color psychology. Bergamini’s work explores the relationship between the personal and collective unconscious, generating a porosity between aesthetic and ethical values. Cross-cultural studies and interest for philosophy also guide a great part of her creation which manifests through painting and paper-cuts assemblages, video and sculptural installations. In 2012, she was commissioned by the Hyatt Union Square in New York, a site-specific art project, and in 2015, her collaboration with Italian writer Chicca Gagliardo was presented at the Turin International Book Fair. Her works have been part of collective shows in New York (Tanja Grunert Gallery, White Box, and BRIC Arts Media), Los Angeles (Torrance Art Museum), London (Chelsea Space), Paris (Galerie Arnaud Lefebvre), Stockholm (Färgfabriken), Milan (Pari Dispari) and in Hong Kong (Kwai Fung Hin Art Gallery). And part of private collections in the USA, Europe, China and Israel. Her most recent solo show was at the Ivy Brown Gallery in New York City. She is currently working on a video series based on the animation of her mixed media on paper, and her latest video will be screened at the 55th Pesaro International Film Festival of New Cinema in Italy in June. She currently lives and works in Brooklyn, New York.

The artistic collaboration of Kelly Bugden + Van Wifvat has produced a thought-provoking body of sculptures, paintings, and constructions. Nature, childhood memories, and everyday archetypes take shape in unexpected combinations of materials. The works emerged as the tactile and visual senses channeled the ritualistic power and materiality of selected artifacts. The resulting objects exist in a space between what they were originally and what they could become. A wheel, for example, is distorted as if seen through a prism. Their collaboration grew out of years of shaping materials into one-of-a-kind objects. Intuitively, the process of creating with their hands took an inward turn. Prism is a travelogue through memories and dreams, yielding abstract forms that capture moments of transformation.
Van Wifvat grew up with eight siblings and studied sculpture and environmental design in Minneapolis at MCAD. In 1979, he opened a storefront art gallery to promote the work of local artists. The space featured printed materials—art books, periodicals, fanzines, and postcard’s. Wifvat moved to New York in 1983 to study at the Fashion Institute of Technology and Parsons. Elisabeth Sabala Abelló (Barcelona, 1956). She studied industrial design at the School of Arts and Crafts in Barcelona and has a degree in Fine Arts, a specialty in painting, from the Central University of the same city. Sabala is a convinced figurative who has given all the prominence of her work to the representation of the human being in its most trivial aspects. At a time when the artistic landscape extols abstract and conceptual art focused on the great universal themes, Sabala continues to focus on the small defects that bring us closer to the collective and the human. The artistic progression of Sabala takes place, at first, from a bleak period to another vitalist and, later, from the representation of isolated characters (In the super, Reading the stories of the paintings) to the recreation of great concentrations of its peculiar individuals characterized in an endless number of situations (The Great Dance, The Girls of the Choir). Sabala's work is vital and touching, as well as scathing and satirical: it confronts its characters in the most varied situations, capturing, at the same time, the viewer's attention with an unusual juxtaposition of colors that do not seek chromatic harmony, but expression and movement through matter. In 1980 he won the first prize of a painting of the City of Castelldefels, and the following year he debuted individually in the Caixa Catalunya room, in Barcelona.
