Recognized for giving animals a important human-like feeling, I tried to depict a long-haired dachshund, not just as a loved pet, but as a thoughtful, soulful figure
This artwork uses oil, acrylic paint and ink layered over a collage of printed texts, which is recycled book pages. The textual background provides a subtle yet textured base, hinting that every surface like, every life has a history beneath. According to Aristotle, from memory to reminiscence, it is necessary to reactivate images through the imagination to know their sensitive power. Consequently, the gaze (of portraits) becomes power, texture becomes light. Finally, this transposition of images becomes my individual memory.
