This artwork titled "Paris, Le Sacre Coeur" c.1970 is an oil painting on canvas by noted French impressionist artist Emile Lesaout, 1926-2001. It is signed at the lower left corner by the artist. The canvas size is 18.25 x 21.65 inches, framed size is 24.5 x 28.5 inches. Framed in a wooden ornate gold with brown patina frame. It is in excellent condition.
About the artist:
Emile Le Saout, French impressionist artist was born in Paris in 1926. He studied in a private academy in Montparnasse and later continued at the Academy of Fine Arts in Paris, where he maintained his studio. His work is recognized all over the world including collections in Switzerland, England, France, Canada, and the United States. LeSaout is mostly noted for his small-format European cityscapes, specifically Paris and Brittany.
