Igor SMEKALOV (Orenburg, 1965)
1965: nasce a Orenburg, dove vive e lavora.
1984: si laurea in Arte.
1990-'95: si incontra regolarmente a Pasmurovo, vicino a Orenburg, con altri artisti per studiare, lavorare e scambiare opinioni. Queste esperienze portano alla realizzazione di mostre collettive intitolate "Pasmurovo dal 1991 al 1995".
1993: membro dell'Unione degli Artisti.
1994: membro dell'Accademia Sadki, un gruppo di pittori refrattari all'arte ufficiale, che a metà degli anni '70 si riuniva segretamente nelle cantine di Orenburg. Negli anni successivi, con il mutare della situazione politica, nuovi artisti furono ammessi nel gruppo, animati dallo stesso spirito dei loro predecessori. 2002: è presente in "Galaxy", un libro dedicato a sette artisti di Orenburg.
2004: Università di Magnitogorsk.
2009: insegna Disegno e Pittura all'Università di Orenburg.
2011: Galleria Pirra di Torino
