Here for your consideration is a very well executed original oil on board painting by the American artist, George A. Traver. Signed lower right. Signed and titled verso. National Academy of Design exhibition label verso. (1923) Condition is very good; no issues. The painting done in an impressionist style depicting a mother and her child picking wild flowers in a field. A beautiful variety of greens and blues dominate the composition. The figures are painted with a soft white palette are equally well done. The painting has recently been professionally cleaned. The painting is housed in its original wood frame with a hand hammered copper metal wrap over wood. The frame is from the arts and crafts period and is in fine condition. Overall framed measurements are 18.75 by 4.75 inches. Provenance: A Sarasota, Florida collector. In 1864, George Traver was born in Corning, New York. He worked as artist, painter, graphic designer, illustrator, and poster creator. He resides and works in France. After obtaining his diploma, he moved to Paris, where he continues to live and create. In 1982, he was granted French citizenship. During the initial period of his stay in France, Malinowski was engaged in artistic direction, creating audiovisual presentations, television programs, graphics, illustrations, and posters. During this time, he won awards in the field of posters and illustrations.
