About the Item
Contemporary figurative oil on canvas painting by Polish artist Kamil Lisek. The artwork depicts a man holding paintbrush, concentrated on creation proccess. There is palette in fornt of him. The painter as well as his artistic accessories are very colorful and vibrant. In contrast, the background is in different shades of gray.
The artist colaborated with producers of an Oscar Award winning movie 'Loving Vincent' (2017) in making of the movie among other talented painters.
KAMIL LISEK (born in 1980) Studied under the guidance of prof. Maciej Świeszewski at the faculty of painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk. He graduated with distinction obtaining scholarships from both the Ministry of Culture and the Mayor of the city of Gdańsk. In 2006 he won the Grand Prix (ex-aequo) of the Franciszka Eibisch Foundation. Painting technique constitutes a huge challenge for Kamil Lisek and is particularly important for him. In his works, the artist tries to capture every detail of the composition as faithfully as possible, so that the viewer could scrutinize them and slowly feast his or her eyes upon attributes of a setting, body, ornament.

The painting may arrive rolled in a strong tube or a box. Such a transport method is very safe for oversized works and provides lower shipping costs as well. Rolled works can be easily stretched by placing canvas onto wood stretcher bars and/or framed by a local framer upon arrival.
