Secret Spot explores the theme of hidden desires and memories that often remain in the shadows of consciousness, waiting for the moment to be revealed. The artistic figure, barely discernible in its minimalism, dissolves into a soft pink background, symbolizing the need for solitude in order to confront one’s own emotions. This is a space where the inner world is exposed in its most vulnerable and sincere state, allowing the viewer to connect with personal experiences and feelings. The painting touches on the significance of moments when a person, distancing themselves from the external world, finds space to acknowledge and express emotions that are usually hidden. The work invites the viewer into an intimate atmosphere where the past and present intertwine in the search for personal freedom and inner balance.
Olena Kishkurno was born in Ukraine in 1976. She graduated from Kharkiv State academy of design and arts with a master's degree as a restorer of easel and monumental painting. Since 2022 lives in Germany. Olena is an artist who explores the changes in humans resulting from the clash with the digital world, their integration into this realm, and subsequently, the loss of connection with their original essence.
The main mediums are painting and graphics. Works with oil painting, watercolor, acrylic, mixed media.
