By Ferruccio Ferrazzi
Located in Santa Fe, NM
Cavallo, by Ferruccio Ferrazzi, Religious, Painting,Horse, Vatican, Brown,Tan “Cavallo” by Ferruccio Ferrazzi is a work lost during World War II and restored by the Mosaic School of Art at Vacan City. Circa 1940s. Ferruccio Ferrazzi (15 March 1891 – 8 December 1978 in Rome) was an Italian painter and sculptor as well as a professor at Accademia di Belle Arti of Rome.) Born in Rome, Ferrazzi was the eldest son of the sculptor Stanislao Ferrazzi. In 1904, he was trained in the studio of Francesco Bergamini, a former pupil of Michele Cammarano. The following year he attended the Scuola Libera del Nudo and at the Accademia di Francia. He first exhibited at the 1907 Exhibition (LXXVII Esposizione Internazionale di Belle Arti) in Rome. In 1910, he won a scholarship to the Instituto Catel which allowed him to take up art as a career. In 1913, he exhibited Genetrix at the First Roman Secession Exhibition (Prima Esposizione internazionale d'arte della Secessione Romana). In December, he was granted the national art pension which gave him financial security and allowed him to set up a studio in Via Ripetta. A visit to the Louvre in Paris revealed his interest in Georges Seurat whose style was similar to his own. In 1926, he became a professor at the Accademia di San Luca. The same year he was the first Italian to win the Carnegie Prize. In the spring of 1933, he was elected to the Italian Academy. After the war, he created mainly religious works, both paintings and sculptures. In the 1950s, he spent most of his time at the Casa di Santo Stefano in Monte Argentario where he created his ambient sculpture Il Teatro...

It includes an original contemporary wooden frame designed and colored by Balla himself (he used to often produce himself the frames for his works). Signed on top left "BALLA" in capital letters. Giacomo Balla (Turin, 1871 - Rome, 1958) Giacomo Balla was born in Turin in 1871. Since he was a young boy, when he begins to attend the Albertina Academy, he dedicates his studies to the violin and painting. His first artistic accomplishment dates back to 1894, a self-portrait. "A Song"
Located in West Hollywood, CA
Premiering for the first time in three decades, the original paintings of American artist Maurice Green. Born in 1908 in Latvia, Maurice Green studied with prominent artists of the day before settling in Los Angeles in the 1930’s. The artist continued his art education and began exhibiting throughout galleries in Southern California. As with many artists, his earliest style was more academic realistic imagery, transitioning due to his intense fascination with the cubist avant garde movement, into cubist imagery which became the trademark style of painting for the remainder of his life. This is the first presentation of the paintings of Maurice Green since his death in 1993. “The Serenade”, is original mixed media watercolor on artist board, signed, e very early work c.1945, this is a painting which clearly defines his talent as a fine cubist artist.

Santa on Train, Saturday Evening Post Cover
Located in Fort Washington, PA
Date: 1940 Medium: Oil on Canvas Dimensions: 38.00" x 30.00" Signature: Signed Lower Right Original Cover Illustration for The Saturday Evening Post, December 28, 1940 At the heart of this touching and humorous Christmas work which appeared on the December 28, 1940 cover of THE SATURDAY EVENING POST, is the juxtaposition of the heads of the astonished boy holding a Drysdale package, the Drysdale poster of the store Santa in costume, and the drowsy man wearing the Santa pants and boots under his overcoat, obviously on his way home from work. Rockwell’s gift as a storyteller in pictures is displayed here at its best. The simple use of predominantly three colors – red, black and white, and the omission of any extraneous detail, add to the strength of this fine example of illustration art. Exhibitions Fort Lauderdale Museum of the Arts, Ford Lauderdale, Florida, Norman Rockwell: A Sixty Year Retrospective, February 11- March 5, 1972. The Booklyn Museum, March- April 1972 Corcoran Gallery of Art, Washington D.C, May 26, 1972- July 23, 1972 McNay Art Institute, San Antonio, Texas, July 1972- August 1972 M.H De Yound Memorial Museum, Golden State Park, San Francisco, California, Norman Rockwell: A Sixty Year Retrospective, September 9, 1972- September 5, 1972. Happy Landing, Amoco Advertisement
Located in Fort Washington, PA
Medium: Oil on Canvas Signature: Signed Lower Left Sight Size 20.75" x 40.00", Framed 30.75" x 50.00" During his over four decades as the preeminent illustrator for The Saturday Evening Post, Joseph Christian Leyendecker's clever illustrations were eagerly anticipated by enthusiastic readership across the country, and none more so than his holiday designs. One of Leyendecker's most celebrated creations was his groundbreaking idea of the New Year's Baby. Originally portrayed as a fleshy sweet-faced child complete with tiny angel wings, the New Year's Baby gradually morphed into a worldly tot acutely aware of the social and political issues facing the nation at the time. In fact, Leyendecker's final Post cover illustration was the 1943 New Year's Baby. Following the success of these Post covers, the artist was hired to create advertisements for the American Oil Company (AMOCO). Throughout the 1940s and through the final years of his life, Leyendecker produced ads incorporating his famed New Year's Baby into AMOCO advertisements, as in the present work, Happy Landing...

Figure Abstract
Located in West Hollywood, CA
Belgian artist Miette Braive(1916-2000), was classically trained in Belgium, before moving to Paris to pursue her art career as first a student and then a contemporary of the French artist/author Andre’ Lhote. She arrived in Paris in the mid-late 1940’s and began a career as a modern artist working and exhibiting with Andre’ Lhote over the next two decades. Braive was a woman of small stature, and when Lhote met her he nicknamed her, “Miette”, as she was small like a “Crumb” of bread. Born Emilie Braive, once nicknamed by Lhote, she worked and signed all of her work as, M. Braive. The influence of Andre’ Lhote is evident within the paintings by Miette Braive. Bold and vivid pallets, with subjects ranging from pure non objective abstracts, to full modernist/cubist abstract figures. "Figure Abstract...
