Young model in traditional dress sat on the Cliffs with the wind sweeping through her hair, overlooking Falmouth in Cornwall.
"Emily overlooking Falmouth" - Oil on canvas, Signed and framed by Rene Jerome Legrand. (Born 1953)
One of several paintings the artist undertook for the grandparents of Emily and Sam, the last one in the series. Beautiful and atmospheric with lots of impasto.
Legrand was trained at the Slade School of Art and has been a full time painter ever since. He is known for his beach scenes often in Cornwall. His work is highly collected and is in many important collections worldwide.
