Rodney Forbes
Rodney Forbes lives in Gippsland, the greenest part of Australia. It’s a place of primeval forests dominated by the majestic mountain ash tree, the largest flowering plant in the world, and home to koalas and lyrebirds. He grew up in the historic seaport of Williamstown, training as an electronics technician on ships, which left him with an enduring love of the sea. As a young man, he traveled overland from Australia via Kathmandu to Europe and his later research work in storytelling has led to visits to Sioux and Navajo communities as well as collaborative work with Australian Indigenous artists, academics and storytellers. Forbes’ paintings combine full-bore colour, intriguing spatial manipulations, humour, and insightful observation of everyday life. They employ surreal juxtapositions which invite the viewer to attach their own stories and to reexamine their own sense of wonder. His works reward those who live with them, unfolding new layers of meaning over time. His work is held in the collection of the Australian National Gallery, Canberra, the Art Gallery of New South Wales, Artbank, Regional Galleries and numerous private collections in Australia and internationally. He is an Honorary Research Fellow at Federation University Australia and was previously the Director of Gippsland Centre for Art and Design and Switchback Gallery at Monash University. His work has been the subject of two major curated survey exhibitions and he has been the recipient of an Australia Council Arts and Crafts Board New Work Grant. He was the winner of the 2020 Australian Maritime Art Award. Stanley is a classic storyteller. As an artist or her work involves a media and contains movement, mystery and suspense; as a wife and mother, she basks in the vital role of nurturer, and as a teacher she stretches her own horizons with and parking was thinking from a lot time of pursuing her art.
Stanley recognizes her "stories" - visual experiences that come to her, often in the form of dreams and the daydreams -in a journal , which then becomes the sketchbook from which she distills the dreams into paintings . Once she is dedicated as an artist, working up to 40 hours a week at her studio, but she also enjoys teaching, privately and at a nearby colleges: " Painting is so egocentric, so solitary, it's nice to get outside yourself, " she says of her passion the passing it on.

Cavallo, by Ferruccio Ferrazzi, Religious, Painting,Horse, Vatican, Brown,Tan
“Cavallo” by Ferruccio Ferrazzi is a work lost during World War II and restored by the Mosaic School of Art at Vacan City. Circa 1940s.
Ferruccio Ferrazzi (15 March 1891 – 8 December 1978 in Rome) was an Italian painter and sculptor as well as a professor at Accademia di Belle Arti of Rome.)
Born in Rome, Ferrazzi was the eldest son of the sculptor Stanislao Ferrazzi. In 1904, he was trained in the studio of Francesco Bergamini, a former pupil of Michele Cammarano. The following year he attended the Scuola Libera del Nudo and at the Accademia di Francia. He first exhibited at the 1907 Exhibition (LXXVII Esposizione Internazionale di Belle Arti) in Rome. In 1910, he won a scholarship to the Instituto Catel which allowed him to take up art as a career.
In 1913, he exhibited Genetrix at the First Roman Secession Exhibition (Prima Esposizione internazionale d'arte della Secessione Romana). In December, he was granted the national art pension which gave him financial security and allowed him to set up a studio in Via Ripetta. A visit to the Louvre in Paris revealed his interest in Georges Seurat whose style was similar to his own.
In 1926, he became a professor at the Accademia di San Luca. The same year he was the first Italian to win the Carnegie Prize. In the spring of 1933, he was elected to the Italian Academy. After the war, he created mainly religious works, both paintings and sculptures. In the 1950s, he spent most of his time at the Casa di Santo Stefano in Monte Argentario where he created his ambient sculpture Il Teatro...

«My brother gave them a name» Still Life Oil Painting by Samantha Van Heest
By Samantha Van Heest
Located in Oslo, NO
This painting was inspired by the artists very first toy, a small blue giraffe, given to her as a day-old baby. It is something that has been around her whole life, and even though it is inanimate, there is a feeling of personification through the years of wear. Her brother as a baby would call giraffes “fa,” which is always a sweet memory she associate with this toy.

«Sh*t Happens» Figurative Oil Painting by Samantha Van Heest
By Samantha Van Heest
Located in Oslo, NO
Shit happens sometimes. In this piece, the artist wanted to create an unsettling and claustrophobic space where people feel most private and vulnerable. Inspired by artist Tala Madani, she created a cartoon figure to act as the voyeur, a bright and unwelcome disturbance that cannot be ignored.

Imported Goods is an exploration of environment, especially focusing on the wellness of the ocean and the consequences of human plastic consumption. There is beauty in appreciation and replication, but it becomes a tragedy when it fully devours natural creation.
