Helene and Eric Bess are a team who have been collaborating for over 20 years. Both are professional artists with extensive experience in both the commercial and fine art fields. They presently work out of their studio in Florida, creating original art for gallery display, fine art crafts and taking commissions for murals & embellishments.
Helene was born in Canada in 1949. She studied art in Europe as a young adult and attended Phoenix Pratt School of Design in New York and St. Petersburg Community College in Florida. She worked for advertising agencies and freelance art projects such as theater design and t-shirt designs for several companies. She owned and operated an art studio (“Artistic Endeavors”) in Melbourne, Fl. for five years. She started doing murals and embellishments (residential and commercial) from 1992 till present. She considers her early life in Europe the major source of her artistic influence as well as the works of Modigliani.
Eric was born in Missouri in 1950. He started drawing literally as an infant and has never stopped. He was taking commissions for book covers & wall designs in his teens and studied art at Auburn University and The University of Alabama. He taught art in public schools in Alabama in the ‘70s. He worked as art director at Huntsville Educational Television for 6 years, as art director at Southern Sportswear in Daytona for 9 years, at Creative Signs & Designs in Flagler, Fl. for 6 years, and as a freelance artist and co-owner (with his wife Helene) of “BessStudio” (formerly “Artistic Innovations Inc.”) since 1998. His artistic influences include Michelangelo, Vermeer, Blake, Maxfield Parish...

Oceanic Pearls
By Ben Weiner
Located in Greenwich, CT
Oceanic Pearls is an oil painting on prepared paper, sheet size 15.75 x 22 inches, signed, titled and dated verso, 'Ben Weiner Oceanic Pearls 2019' and framed in a contemporary white frame.
Connecting two opposing styles—abstraction and photorealism—Ben Weiner creates hyper-detailed, lush paintings and videos of extremely magnified consumer products, including hair gel, chemical food additives, and deodorant. In his work, he presents such meticulously rendered, close-up views of his subjects that they read as pure abstractions. A through-line in Weiner’s various bodies of work is contemporary culture’s obsession with bodily enhancement through chemical products—whether by using hair products or taking illegal drugs.
"My paintings of pearls and hair gel merge varied notions of art as creation with biological and mythological concepts of creation. Visually, the pearls seem to emerge from the hair gel, suggesting biological processes such as cellular division, or the primordial soup that preceded life on earth. The all-over, abstract qualities of the hair gel recall the abstract expressionists’ concepts of the sublime art object and art as a transcendent act of creation. Additionally, the pearl itself is a naturally produced object of profound beauty. I use it to symbolize my understanding of creation as a feminine power, intrinsically linked to beauty (as in Boticelli’s The Birth of Venus). Finally, the pearls are an ode to Audrey Flack, one of my early artistic influences." - Ben Weiner
Ben Charles Weiner (b. 1980) is a New York based contemporary artist. His work bridges the seemingly opposite styles of hyperrealism, and process-based abstraction. Mr. Weiner has exhibited his work widely in the US and internationally, at institutions including The Carnegie Art Museum, The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum, The Boca Raton Museum of Art, and The Tarble Art Center. His work is in public collections including Microsoft, Sammlung/Collection, Progressive Insurance, and The Frederick R. Weisman Collection...

Blood Diamond
Located in Montreal, Quebec
Oli Sorenson’s solo exhibition, «Après moi, le déluge » discloses a series of impactful works on the deadly perils of capitalism through a group of paintings, prints, watercolours, and installations. The title draws a parallel between our times and Louis the XV’s sentiment, the French king’s citation indicating his disconnect with what chaos he left in the wake of his excesses. The same phrase was later revisited by Marx to stigmatize the bourgeoisie of his era, as the leitmotif of the flood strongly features throughout history and human consciousness from past myths to our very factual and impending future. Biblical creatures were punished for their sins by torrents, and today with climate change, we are also faced with rising seas and historic inundations worldwide. Hence the mood of Sorenson’s show reflects our anxieties in the face of natural disasters and the weight of the Anthropocene—the impact of human activities on the Earth’s ecosystem—bearing down on our collective psyche.
Sorenson’s oeuvre depicts a myriad of humanitarian crises occurring as we stand on the edge of an ecological precipice. We find evidence of this pending collapse in African mining industries with Blood Diamond...

Regretté de Tous

I made these paintings in response to a prediction for a change in the colour of the sky and oceans as a consequence of man-made climate change. This idea described by Peter Ward in his book Under a Pale Green Sky is based on his study of the great mass extinction events of the past. For many of these extinction events the earth’s chemistry changed the sky to green and the oceans purple.
My personal memories are often tied to colour – my first recollection is of an orange cup...

Thirst- woman with the straw in wine-colored, brown and beige
By Igor Fomin
Located in Fort Lee, NJ
The hero at this painting is a human. His eyes are a lenses that artist using. At all time they are together, a man and a woman. Duality of differences, two views, different accents, but in one wholeness. Fomin is a fairy-tale artist, a romance teller, who is choosing never ending life stories for a viewer. He is telling these stories with realistic language of the artist, citing the language of Bruegel sentimental sincerity of Chagall, but also a precise coloristic scheme, that was a signature of French Art in the second half of XX century.
The fantastic World of the artist is perfectly detailed that makes it truthful. This artistic language principle defined the style of the artist long before he entered the Art World market. His love for Italian Renaissance was born in Minsk during his study years. Art, Music and Architecture made Igor Fomin...
