About the Item

This painting is ready to hang: I've attached the wire to the back, and this canvas goes as is, no frame needed (unless you want it) Something cute and funny sometimes I see on my underpainting. Sometimes I need more time, sometimes less to see something which I really would like to show to my viewers. I would never paint anything bad, sad, or violent. I am trying to focus on something very nice and happy, sometimes with humor, and if I don’t see it then I am re-doing my underpaintings from scratch and starting over again. My paintings are mostly whimsical because I like everything unreal, and I know that they are created in my mind by seeing them on my canvas. This makes me feel like each painting is my baby, and I always really hope that they will find a good next home forever. This was my experiment in styles, I wanted to try something new. My sister had her vacation in Turkey, and she sent me the photo of this unusual palm tree. I really wanted to paint something same unusual as unusual was this palm tree for me. Sometimes a new subject will provide you new ideas, and you want to try out new styles, colors, media. Xanadu Coral - Pop Landscape Palm Tree Vibrant Original Painting on Canvas
By Kathleen Keifer
Located in Los Angeles, CA
Kathleen Keifer's original artworks represent one of the most significant expressions of New California Realism. Keifer brings a fresh perspective to her colorful scenes of everyday life in the sun along the Pacific coastline (and beyond). Her detailed paintings show us the breathtaking California scenery with its recognizable elements in a new light and with a keen eye for clever composition and layered colors. Her modern landscapes and sublime seascapes capture an impressive visceral visual. This one-of-a-kind 24 inch high by 15 inch wide palm tree inspired artwork is a composition created with acrylic paint on canvas. It is stretched, wired, and ready to hang. The sides are painted as a continuation of the front and it does not require framing. It is signed by the artist on the front of the artwork. A certificate of authenticity issued by the gallery is included. Convenient local Los Angeles delivery. Affordable Continental U.S. and international shipping are available. Kathleen Keifer is a California-based internationally collected artist. Her paintings invite the viewer to consider the complex relationship between time and timelessness. It is the sheer visual interaction between the elements, taken in their bare simplicity that interests her. Water, sky, and architecture change their appearance with the shifts in weather and light. Her broken brushstrokes depict light and color in luminous waves, dissolving form into a shimmering surface of vibrant light. For her, painting captures the very essence of time and its passage. While painting landscapes she became fascinated with isolating the objects in her paintings. She believes that actual sites and places have individual magic. The goal is to take objects from popular culture and paint them in a new context. She began to paint the silhouette of the Life Guard Tower more as a pop art symbol than a landscape element. With a high level of technical virtuosity, Keifer creates a new sense of reality with textures and colors that seem to add lighting effects and distinct shadows, confronting the viewer with new interpretations of familiar objects. Born and raised in Chicago, Kathleen Keifer is a second-generation artist. Her mother, also a fine artist, exposed Keifer to the world of art and supervised her training from a very early age. This legacy continues today as Keifer closely nurtures the development of the artistic leaning in each of her three daughters, inspiring a third generation of female artists. Her works are represented by Artspace Warehouse Los Angeles and have been exhibited and collected internationally, including Chicago, New York, and London. Conceptual Realist Palm Tree Painting, "Oasis 1"
By Perry Vàsquez
Located in San Diego, CA
This is a conceptual oil painting by local San Diego artist, Perry Vàsquez. Its dimensions are 26.5 x 88.5. It comes in a wooden neutral frame. This painting depicts a palm tree against a blue sky background. The palm tree is ornate with fine details from the artist in the leaves and the tree trunk. The artist has employed bright colors like green, brown, and blue. Vàsquez focuses primarily on his exploration of various iterations of palm trees. Ubiquitous in Southern California, and historically viewed as a provider of nourishment, shelter, and bounty, the trees in Vásquez’s paintings are instead framed in peculiar or dire scenarios. Many of the trees in his work are ablaze, or are actually cell towers...
