The parks in Paris are always a peaceful means to 'leave' the city behind, to immerse with a well tended spot of nature before embracing the lively bustle of the city again. This is from one of many visits to the boating lake in Bois de Boulogne (the second biggest park in Paris, and 2.5 times the size of NY central park). It is painted in a true impressionist manner, having spent much time visiting the museums, and studying/observing/reading about the principals and techniques through numerous well written books by experts in the field.
