Vintage Latin American School titled "Mask" Minimalist Portrait in Acrylic on Paper Fine example of Latin American School minimalist portrait by California-based artist, Ricardo de Silva (American/Brazil, 20th C). A stylized face is shown as a mask, with one eye clearly visible. The other is obscured in shadow. The mask has a slightly open mouth. Signed, dated, and titled along the bottom edge "R de Silva 3.3.86 Mask" Provenance: Acquired with a collection of the artist's work. No frame. There appear to be architectural elements such as windows, doors, and stairs, but the composition is highly abstracted, bordering on psychedelic.
