About the Item
The Fragility of History" is inspired by the creations of Lalique and is based on the image of their famous vase. The antique column, a reference to the exquisite beauty and craftsmanship of Lalique, symbolizes the fragility of civilizations, which, like glass, can shatter over time. Scarlet petals flutter around her, creating a contrast between the fleeting beauty and durability of the past. The painting provokes reflection on how we preserve heritage and what will remain of our culture for future generations, addressing the theme of loss and preservation.
Ukrainian figurative artist Tetiana Adamovich, born in 1980 in Kyiv, Ukraine, completed her education at the College of Economy in 1998. Since 2016, she has been actively engaged in painting, and exploring watercolor and oil media. Tetiana considers issues of Archeology of the Future adding traditional motifs in the form of embroidery to his works as a tribute to the culture of his ancestors. Works with painting on canvas. Primary media are acrylic, oil, and watercolor. Actively pursues her artistic practice, and sells her paintings.

About the artist
Maite was born in Mexico City, where she now lives and works.
Her work is based on the exploration and understanding of the use of colour as a tool to create a stronger connection between the viewer and the work displayed. Having her interest in colour arise from the common ground that exists between her personal experiences with the use of colour within the Mexican culture and the effects of colour she perceives from her personal artistic practice, she tries to use her work as a way to get familiar with both the far-reaching capabilities of colour and its resourcefulness when transforming everyday scenarios into desirable realities. As her practice has been developing, she has continually incorporated and simplified the idea of architectural shapes. The opportunity for objects to be defined by the simple outline of the flat colours that fill them paired with angular geometric devices has become integral to her practice. She has become increasingly captivated by the intensified sensation of placelessness that floods the compositions and transforms an everyday scene into a puzzling sight that stops the image from being simply an admirable image into a visually engrossing experience.
