Overlooking Santa Cruz and Monterey Bay - Plein Air Landscape in Oil on Canvas Gorgeous plein air landscape of Santa Cruz and Monterey Bay by Brian Rounds (American, b. 1968). Grey-purple clouds have rolled in over Santa Cruz around sunset, casting shadows and creating highlights in the city. Streaks of light shine through the clouds, and there is a yellow glow at the edge of the water in the distance.
