About the Item

This is a 72" tall by 96" wide (6' x 8') original oil painting in an abstract oil painting floral style, from an ongoing floral series the artist has been working on since late 2022. Tania refines her own linseed oil and mixes it with chalk from the Champagne region of France, (a technique used by Rembrandt and other old masters) creating a paste to mix with the oil paint that lends itself to loose, lush brushstrokes and free, interpretive landscapes. The artist envisions this piece filling an entire wall, as if the viewer is immersed in the abstracted field of white. The painting looks realistic from a distance, but up close becomes a mix of random drips and blobs. This style of abstracted landscape works very well in both contemporary and traditional settings. The piece comes wired for hanging and is in a simple white contemporary float frame. The depth of the frame is 2.5” Tania’s works have received national and international recognition and have been placed in the collections of well-known moguls, Hollywood celebs, and rock stars, as well as hotels such as the Ritz Carlton, Four Seasons, Viceroy, and Gaylord Hotels.
