About the Item

Provenance Acquired by the gallery directly from the artist Description Reminiscent of Roger E. Kuntz's geometric paintings of the Los Angeles Freeways created between 1961 and 1963, Tony Peters adds nature to the dialogue and submits a softer composition. Fascinated with Southern California’s contemporary urban culture and its current emphasis on preserving the natural environment, Peters’ "Pedestrian Walkway, PCH" harmonizes the concrete curvilinear and geometric shapes with nature's geometry as portrayed in the lines of swaying palm trees and the Pacific Ocean’s distant horizon. Exhibitions Jonathan Beach Club, October 16, 2013; Created during "The Great American Paint Out" presented by the Jonathan Art Foundation and held September 4 - 7, 2013 at the Jonathan Beach Club. Laguna Avenue, Painting, Oil on Wood Panel
By Grace Diehl
Located in Yardley, PA
Laguna, California is a popular destination for many, known for its quaint charm, small brick and mortar shops, and numerous art galleries. As a fine artist, I wanted to capture the essence of this town in a painting, and on a sunny day, I set out to do just that. I selected a busy street in Laguna, where cars and people were bustling about, creating a lively scene. I set up my easel...
