Signed lower right, 'Vanessa Stafford' (American, born 1954) and dated 1982.
Vanessa Stafford received her Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design from San Jose State University. She was initially influenced by the work of Aubrey Beardsley and the 19th century English Symbolists and, later, by Paul Klee and Marc Chagall. Vanessa Stafford has exhibited widely and is the recipient of numerous prizes and juried awards. Her work is held in private and public collections including the Santa Cruz County archives.
