About the Item
Marcia Wise’s “Warm Reflections” is part of her abstract landscape series depicting the colors of a red boat reflected in water. Reds, oranges, yellows and blues are used in the artists study of reflective surfaces on water and is painted using a palette knife allowing the multi-layers of color to show through in the finished painting. This is a long painting measuring 38 x 14 x 2.5 inches in a cherry float frame and signed on the front by the artist.
Marcia Wise is a Massachusetts-based contemporary oil painter and educator whose paintings are inspired by nature's landscape forms and patterns, light effects and reflections, and the play of textures. Her work has been exhibited and collected nationally and internationally. Wise is represented by Fountain Street Gallery based in Boston, MA.
