Untitled, Acrylic on Canvas, Blue, White Contemporary Indian Artist “In Stock”
Located in Kolkata, West Bengal
Rahim Mirza - Untitled Acrylic on Canvas, 18 x 18 inches (unframed size) Born in 1969, Rahim Mirza completed his art education at Bharat Bhavan in Bhopal, where he studied printmaking. Mirza’s current body of work however, is largely made up of acrylics on canvas. The leaf occupies a central motif in much of his work, representing, perhaps, a multiplicity of emotions; while the appearance of the first leaf signifies Spring and renewal, the shedding of the brown leaves in Autumn heralds the onset of winter. It is these subtleties and the complexity of the simple motif that intrigue the artist. While Mirza focuses on the leaf, he chooses to remove it from its natural environment. Thus while the leaf is a prominent symbol in his work, there generally is no sign of a tree or any context beyond its form. In its multiplicity, the artist creates rhythm and meaning that is far beyond its reach. Mirza had his first solo exhibition at Crimson Art Gallery, Mumbai, in 2000. This was followed by others at Archer Art Gallery, Ahmedabad, in 2001; and Diara art Gallery in 2002. His work has also been a part of group shows like 'Collective Spaces' at M.E.C. Loch Lomond Diffused Light, Scottish Artwork, Landscape Painting, Lake Artwork
Located in Deddington, GB
This is one of my favourite local Loch shoreline to paint. In this painting the drama often displayed over the loch has been covered by a beautiful soft light. When the water is presented like this it feels peaceful and timeless. This is an oil on canvas. Framed as shown in these photos in a beautiful broad white frame. Mary McDonald artist works are available with Wychwood Art online to buy and in our art gallery. Exploring the structures of landscape is my starting point for creating paintings. I love to experiment with perspective and the layering of directional lines, often simplifying a subject into what I see as an assembly of elements. I strive in my paintings to strike a balance between painting a particular subject and trying not to focus my attention on the most obvious elements. I work from my sketch books and photographs and am very lucky to be surrounded by amazing inspirational landscapes in the west of Scotland. My studio is at home and when I’m not painting I’m mum to two young children and my husband and I are also renovating our home. As you can imagine the days with us are creative, busy and unpredictable. I studied at Duncan of Jordanstone college of art and design, graduating in 2000. Then worked as an interior designer for many years before giving it up in 2015 to focus on painting and the family. Loch Lomond Diffused Light...

Sea and land intertwined with whale as the main subject. About the artist: Lisa M. Shimko’s paintings reveal the influences of sundry research topics, old memories, and daydreaming. Growing up in York County, Pennsylvania, Shimko spent her childhood collecting rocks and exploring the terrains of forests and farms. Colors, forms, and textures from nature and the simple designs of Pennsylvania German folk art infused the foundation of her artistic aesthetic. In 1994, Shimko earned a BFA in painting with a minor in art therapy from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. The urban landscapes of the Northeast supplied a different kind of nature for her to explore—architecture, social issues, history, and all the music in between. Hilton Head Island...

Motif(s) - Watercolour, Contemporary Landscape Painting, Seaside
Located in AIX-EN-PROVENCE, FR
Watercolour, Acrylic Painting and Charcoal on paper. Work Title : "Motif(s)" (series) Artist : Fabien Granet (FR) The work is signed and dated on the back of the work. Unique work. Size : H26xW21cm. With archival Mat, framed in a 30x24 cm frame. Born in 1970 the artist lives and works in France. The majority of his drawings and paintings are inspired by the wild landscapes of Brittany in France. " The drawing as a gesture allows me to exploit a (re)mise-en-scene as so many possibilities in the making. Through the quality of drawing as a marker of thought, it is not a question of constructing "dream worlds" but rather of setting up a device that would allow for a conscious dialogue of a certain perception of the real." Fabien Granet is pursuing a research on the perception of the landscape, on our ways of trying to represent it, to understand it, to understand its structures. The drawn "landscapes" are thus as many projections of the artist, which convene and reveal his artistic path, the influences of his culture, his utopias, his dystopian fantasies. Another shift where the quasi scientific concern of objective rigor and the mental construction of an construction of an individual course. The drawing appears in this sense as an act as much as a work which The drawing appears in this sense as an act as much as a work which is registered in a research and a quest to pierce the enigma of the real. In his landscapes, Fabien Granet evokes a process of the mind, where shreds and fragments become entangled in a re-arrangement of of reality. Snippets of architecture and geometrical figures draw human and his gaze into it. The landscape is a human creation, but how does human try to perceive it, how does he understand its constructions? what is his mental image of it? Chaos and structure intersect in a paradox of our vision of the world: the artist picks out the sensitive elements in a reflection on the possibilities in the making.
