A fine figurative portrait of a middle aged gentleman by the British artist Christopher Alexander ARE ARCA (1926-1982). Through a delicate treatment of light, and subtle shading, the artist has produced a detailed subject with a monochrome palette. Alexander had a specialism in figurative drawing, and this work demonstrates both his skill in unusual mediums, and subtle shading of form to portray the character accurately. Well presented in a double card mount and metallic effect frame. Label on the reverse gives title of the artwork and original price. Signed and dated.
