About the Item
Gazing boldly is an act of defiance against the uncertainties of life. It embodies the spirit of facing challenges head-on, with unwavering confidence and clarity. This phrase evokes a sense of empowerment, urging individuals to look beyond their immediate circumstances and envision a brighter future. When we gaze boldly, we embrace our true selves, acknowledging our strengths and vulnerabilities. It’s about standing tall in the face of adversity and refusing to be defined by setbacks. This bold gaze allows us to confront our fears, challenge societal norms, and pursue our passions with relentless determination. In a world that often discourages authenticity, gazing boldly becomes a revolutionary act. It encourages us to express our thoughts and beliefs unapologetically, fostering an environment where creativity and innovation can thrive. This mindset not only transforms our personal journeys but also inspires those around us to do the same. To gaze boldly is to cultivate resilience. It means recognizing that failure is not the end but a stepping stone toward growth. Each challenge faced with courage adds depth to our character and sharpens our vision of what’s possible.
As we navigate life’s complexities, let us remember the power of a bold gaze. It is a reminder to dream big, act decisively, and embrace the journey ahead with open hearts and minds. In doing so, we not only empower ourselves but also illuminate the path for others to follow. So, let us all commit to gazing boldly—into our futures, our dreams, and the limitless possibilities that await us.

The lady's posture suggests that she is deep in thought, perhaps reflecting on something significant. The colors are bold and bright, almost as if they are trying to break through the grey background.
The title of the artwork, "Influence," adds another layer to the piece's meaning. It could be interpreted as the lady being influenced by something or someone, or perhaps she is the one who exerts influence on others. Either way, the title makes the artwork more thought-provoking and leaves the viewer with questions.
The use of color in the artwork is striking. The blue and yellow around the lady's neck create a sense of vibrancy and life. The grey background, while muted, provides a subtle contrast that emphasizes the colors around her neck. The color choices are deliberate, each color has its own symbolic meaning. Blue is often associated with calmness, trust, and communication, while yellow is associated with optimism, happiness, and energy.
The overall composition of the artwork is simple yet powerful. The lady is the focal point of the piece, and her posture and expression convey a sense of introspection. The blue and yellow colors around her neck draw the viewer's attention, and the grey background provides a sense of stillness and calmness.
The artwork is open to interpretation, and the viewer may interpret it in different ways. Some may see it as a representation of someone deep in thought, while others may see it as a symbol of inner strength and influence. Whatever the interpretation, the artwork is visually striking and thought-provoking.

Nakedness of Truth
Located in Ibadan, Oyo
Nakedness of Truth is an original painting by Abifola Olorunlana. Olorunlana created Nakedness of Truth with Acrylic on a 36W by 48H inches primed canvas.
Nakedness of Truth was made over a painting Abifola Olorunlana did and didn't like (an underlying painting depicting four figures fetching water from a river and gossiping about someone they didn't like). The Nakedness of Truth is a painting that advocates for people who belong to the LGBTQ community and salutes their unity in making the movement impactful globally.
For years many have stayed reclusive about their true identity due to religious beliefs, societal constructs, and government laws which have left many depressed till their last days, many were even killed for courageously coming out to state their true identity. This is depicted in the painting: dark yellow eyes sticking out of the woods to portray a sense of public rejection, yet my subject boldly stands out of the green woods and leaves to express courage, strength, and power.
