The Great Uncovering of the Face of God, Oil on canvas painting

2006-2013

About the Item

The Great Uncovering Of God. A major work from Berlin and companion to his Certainty Of Eternity. Metaphysics and alchemy come together in this piece depicting emerging Bodhisattvas. His figures scintillate and shimmer with the light. The various sections of the painting; face, hair, collars, tunics and background, have been created using a variety of techniques and materials including oil paint and silver leaf to build a deep and resonant whole. Truly worthy of the comments Berlin has received - "your icons have a life of their own"; "your work is beautiful" this work is an important piece of contemporary iconographic painting. - Hand ground pigments and silver leaf on canvas. Artist Info: Sax Berlin (1953), arguably the finest exponent of 21st Century Classicism has devoted his life to absorbing the culture of art and architecture in Europe, Asia & North America. Thus becoming a genius of our time and the great secret of modern art. His contemporaries and collectors call him "The Master". When one reviews his oeuvre 8 distinct & separate styles emerge, displaying Berlin?s mastery of his subject; only Picasso has shown this level of genius. Berlin is a unique artist, using techniques mastered during his studies; ranging from antiquity through the medieval and Renaissance to the present; he creates the visual outcomes he wants and that delight collectors. The pieces Berlin has created in his New York, Greek and Cornish studios are of museum quality and are rarely seen in Art Sales offering a combination of beautiful artworks and investment opportunities. Harvard University refer to him as a Master Artist and use his Buddhist Icon works as exemplars of the form in their Religious Studies degree courses. The President of the Asia Society on Park Avenue, NYC wrote to Berlin that "your work is beautiful" and Bernard Faure, Professor of Asia Studies at Columbia University wrote "your icons really do have a life of their own". Sax Berlin is a modern Master Painter in the truest sense of the term and follows in the footsteps of the Great Masters of the past. Hide and Seek (portrait) - abstract art , made in black and white, blue colors
By Daria Kotlyarova
Located in Fort Lee, NJ
Hide and Seek (portrait) - abstract art , made in black and white, blue colors. The game of hide and seek. The leitmotif of the repeatability of the plot causes fear, fear is very romantic, this is the main motive of surrealism. Intrusive repeat of the plot. No fate. There is a choice. The “main character” of this world is a man whose gaze is turned inward. This view projects its existential reality, where the figurative language of painting is a method of transmitting abstract images of the experiences of the main characters and the time in which they exist on an equal footing with the viewer. Pictures of Daria Kotlyarova have no plot, at first glance, they have no action, but there is a moment. The moment before the second “before” ... and the viewer stops and freezes in tension, this is almost a psychological “cinema reception” that refers us to David Hockney...
