Born in 1963 in Kotel, Bulgaria, Alexander Titorenkov is a renowned painter whose works masterfully blend hyperrealism with elements of photorealism and surrealism. His unique artistic voice has earned him a significant place in contemporary art, with his paintings housed in prestigious collections worldwide.
Titorenkov's artistic journey began in 1982 when he graduated from the Art School in Sofia, Bulgaria. He continued his education at The Glasgow School of Art in Scotland, where he specialized in Mural Painting in 1990. The following year, he graduated from the National Art Academy in Sofia with a Master of Arts (Hons) in Mural Painting, further cementing his mastery of the craft.
Over the course of his career, Titorenkov has participated in numerous group art exhibitions from 1988 to 2017, showcasing his exceptional technical skill and unique vision. His paintings are recognized for their precise details and intricate compositions, which reflect both classical training and modern sensibilities.
Titorenkov's style is rooted in hyperrealism, but he often incorporates elements of photorealism and surrealism to create a dynamic tension in his work. He chose these styles as the most fitting means of expressing his sense of form and artistic ideas. Artist Biography:
Rebecca is a still life artist based in Tunbridge Wells, whose practice approaches subject matter with a classical technical style. Having attended Maidstone school of art Rebecca went on to enjoy a successful career in Television Set design. Rebecca began making a body of work as a full time artist in 2015 and is currently based in Langton Green where she produces artwork from her own studio. Rebecca also enjoys painting portraits and won the 2018 ‘The Artist’s People’s Choice Award’ with the Artist and Leisure painter magazines for her Portrait ‘Colin’. The artist has featured in Galleries and Exhibitions all over the UK including with the Society of Women Artists in London. Inspired by the Dutch masters, in both technique and lighting, she uses many glazed layers and favours ‘Chiaroscuro’ lighting with bold contrasts between dark and light.
