Her often dark still lifes show extremely realistic contemporary atmospheric subjects. Everyday, but also special subjects such as cups for the coffee machine and macaroons in a bowl for coffee next to a beautiful coffee machine. Very special because of the light against the extremely dark background. Heidi Von Faber herself about this: I like to create a calming image without frills. The simplicity and the subjects, often used in everyday life, give the work a contemporary look. I think it is important that the composition forms a logical whole and has an atmospheric appearance. The artist gives her own interpretation and addition to the 'still life genre' through her working method and compositions.
