DETAIL: Born in Yorkshire in 1939, Jacquie Denby studied at the Harrogate School of Fine Art and the Jacob Kramer College of Art. Throughout her work Jacquie Denby distils the joys of the natural world, depicting the simple and to her, the most important elements of the landsape – the wind, earth, sky, moon and the stars – whether it is the beloved Yorkshire Dales she grew up in or Provence in Springtime. And, it is the birds, symbolic of the spirits of nature, that lead us into her world.Jacquie Denby has exhibited extensively in the North of England and Scotland. She is represented by numerous galleries in the North including Union Fine Art, 108 Fine Art and The Water Street Gallery. This work with provenance from Castlegate House Gallery in Cumbria.
