Loren DiBenedetto (b. Carteret, NJ) received a degree in Fine Arts from the Du Cret School of the Arts in Plainfield, NJ. She furthered her studies at the National Academy of Fine Arts & Design and the Art Students League of New York, where she trained with David Leffel, Harvey Dinnerstein, and Michael Burbon.
Best known for her vibrant still life paintings of fruits, vegetables, and flora, DiBenedetto has been featured in solo and group exhibitions throughout the United States, and garnered multiple awards in juried competitions. Her work is included in many private and corporate collections.
“I always felt like I could find inspiration in anything, and that’s why I like still life... I went from flowers into fruits and things like that because I wanted to catch the moment in time. These things will never look the way they look [at that moment] again. Everything evolves and changes, and what attracts me to still life is being able to capture the moment of light in a certain way.”
