My version of Manet’s Olympia. In my Neo cubist style, I moved things around a bit, like the cat next to her. And of course it’s deconstructed, In cool grays and fleshy pinks with black accents. In this artwork, I melded cubism and figurative styles to explore the fluidity of human form and emotion. With a palette of vibrant oils and textural wax, I depicted a figure ensconced in a dynamic, swirling environment, symbolizing the tumult and flow of life's energies. The presence, essence, and bold strokes of color invite viewers into a deeply personal yet universal narrative, engaging them in a visual journey of reflection and discovery.
