About the Item
This painting was created from a mental blueprint, drawn from a childhood experience of playing with mud. Muted colors are chosen for their mud-like tonalities, and the process was similar to a kid's play. The composition was not random although it might seem to be. Using mental drawing as the starting point, the first layers of paint were carefully applied with a brush and spatula. To make it viscous, the thick oil paint was thinned with linseed oil and turpentine and stirred with a kitchen mixer. The work was created as a buildup of layers, and the final drawing was created with bright color oil paint on the darker background layers.
