Josef Hoflehner is born in 1955 in Wels, Austria.
A turning point came when he purchased his first camera at age twenty. What started as a hobby quickly evolved into an intense passion for photography and experimentation. Though initially trained in hospitality management, he boldly decided to pursue photography full-time. Early recognition and awards validated his choice, opening the door to a professional artistic career. Since 2005, he has built an international reputation for his distinctive style - minimalist yet powerful photographs that capture landscapes, architectural structures, and various subjects. His unique talent transforms seemingly harsh, unwelcoming, or ordinary subjects into compelling visual stories. This is particularly evident in his treatment of landscapes, skylines, buildings, and perhaps most notably in his "Jet Airliner" series. Through his lens, he finds beauty in austerity and significance in the seemingly mundane, creating quiet but powerful compositions that speak volumes.

Josef Hoflehner
Josef Hoflehner was born in 1955 in Weis, Austria. His work has received solo exhibitions at Paris Photo as well as in galleries throughout Europe, Asia and North America. It can also be found in the collections of Elton John, Gap/Banana Republic, Polo Ralph Lauren, Cleveland Clinic, Fidelity Investments, and the Dubai International Financial Center, among others.
