Bright and bold colors define one of San Francisco's most beloved architectural gems. The Painted Ladies of Alamo Square are transformed into a color field painting. Mithcell Funk's creative eye emphasizes the shapes and colors of the buildings with an unexpected upward and off axis view. Signed Numbered 3/15 and dated lower right recto, other sizes available, printed later, unframed. This work is printed on fine art Hahnemuhle paper.

Mitchell Funk
Mitchell Funk is a pioneer of color photography. In 1970, he participated in one of the first color photography shows at the Brooklyn Museum titled “Images en Couleur." In 1971, he was included in the visionary books Frontiers of Photography and Color (Life Library of Photography), both published by Time-Life. He has done more than 50 photography magazine covers, including covers for Newsweek and Life.
