The artwork of Jacques Beneich is an ever renewed exploration of his passion for fashion photography, black and white movies, and music, re-visited with an explosion of colors as a tribute to life. While working as a fashion photographer with the most well known magazines and companies, Jacques Beneich started working as a portraitist. In 1989 he signed one of the most famous series of portraits of some of the greatest jazz and blues musicians including Miles Davies, Fats Domino, James Brown, Dizzy Gillespie and many more.
Jacques Beneich’s artwork is made of all these stories he was able to capture through an exceptional talent for elegance, generosity, and respect of the people he works with. He loves them and his artwork is the reflection of this long love story. His artwork has extended to digital compositions developed from his photographs, into series based upon his favorites themes of music, fashion, portrait, travel, and some of his most famous pieces.

This is a photo contemporary collage project based on modern art. Greatly influenced by natural figures and artificial textures. I love to collect black and white photos of female portraits, cutting out the parts and stripping them from the original context, combining them with the abstract design figure, to get a new composition.
This project is about 'she', every single piece has a unique female image, and each composition has a different character. Mysterious women are always a very attractive point to me.
Ideally, behind every independent female figure, I want the audience to see a gentle but strong female image. Its basic sense is to make her seem to have life, when she smiles or looks up, every move is gentle and beautiful.
"Memory" is another word I would like to mention in this project. Behind every one of my works, there is a memory of different-sometimes or that one day. It almost mirrors my time, my thoughts, and my personality. like a quote from Kurt Cobain's journals "I use bits...
