Playing is a wonderful etching with colored aquatint, on ivory-colored paper, realized by the French contemporary artist Gérard Guyomard. Edition of 12 prints. Hand-signed and numbered in pencil on lower margins.
Representing a jam session with a naif touch and a joyfull composition, this beautiful original print realized with a sure line a precise style, is in excellent conditions, except for minor stains on the lower margin.
Gérard Guyomard is a contemporary painter, born in Paris on November 20, 1936 and related to the movement of narrative figuration and participated in the second founding exhibition of this movement (Mythologies Daily 2 - National Museum of Modern Art - 1977).
Guyomard trained on the job, in contact with the paint conservators whose technical virtuosity he holds. He began producing in 1964 and gradually created his vocabulary of images inspired by everyday life, erotic fantasies ... The superposition of objects, scenes of all sizes, intertwined, allow him to restore the sensation of the third dimension.

Gérard Guyomard
Gérard Guyomard is a contemporary painter, born in Paris on November 20, 1936. He participated at different expositions like at the Salon des Jeunes Peintres in 1961, at the Salon d'Automne in 1962, at the Salon des Surindépendants and Foire De Bâle in 1972. His main solo-shows were in Paris in 1968, 1970 and 1972 and also in London in 1972. With the Pop movement, he developed special humor with erotic allusions. He also used to take a special interest in the famous paintings of the past.
