Karl Fred Dahmen
Karl Fred Dahmen (1917–1981) was a German painter, sculptor, and printmaker known for his dynamic abstract compositions and expressive use of color and form. Born in Stolberg, Germany, Dahmen initially trained as a blacksmith before studying painting at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf. He emerged as a prominent figure in the post-war German art scene, experimenting with various styles including abstraction and gestural painting.
