Beautiful advertising poster of Alain Gauthier for the account on passbook of the BNP.
Alain Gauthier was born in 1931 in Paris. He studied poster design in the studio of the famous poster artist Paul Colin, then produced several hundred posters before turning to illustration. He has worked in advertising, press drawing, painting and has been distinguished by several international juries.
Alain Gauthier is known throughout the world as a poster artist. He cultivates the art of the relationship between an idea and its visual representation. But, from time to time, like André François, he looks to childhood, especially to stories. Alain Gauthier's images are recognizable by his "chalk" characters, evolving in a dreamlike atmosphere of subtle coloring.
