About the Item
Australia -Beach Photo is a circa 1937 travel poster designed by Douglas Annand for the Australian National Travel Association. Annand was known for his experiments in mixed media techniques for advertising. This image by Annand prominently features a black and white photograph by Max Dupain of a woman in fashionable beachwear. The poster design is a modernist style infusing subtle color into the collage.
