About the Item
Allen Rohan Crite: 1910-2007. Extremely well listed and important African-American artist. He lived and worked mostly in Massachusetts Boston area. He has had Auction records for a Linocut print as high as $10,000, Which was in this past April. That was for a colored triptych. This is an uncut black-and-white triptych. These religious themed pieces were his favorite subjects in printmaking. The paper measures 12 inches high by 9 inches wide. Each image is 9 inches tall. The two end images are 2 inches wide while the middle image is 4 inches wide. Overall, the condition is very good except there is a quarter inch minor tear at the bottom right side. And no way does this take away from this striking image and would be covered if the piece is matted when it is framed.
