About the Item

Genre Scenes Compositions is an original artwork realized in 1780s After Angelika Kauffmann. The artwork consist in a pair of mixed colored hand watercolor etchings realized from two original painting of the artist (as printed on plate). Good conditions except for some foxings and stains due to the time. Angelica Kauffman (1741-1807) was a Swiss Neoclassical painter who had a successful art career in London and Rome. Remembered primarily as a history painter, Kauffmann was a skilled portraitist, landscape and decoration painter.
