About the Item
Untitled is a drypoint artist's proof realized by Ardengo Soffici (Rignano sull’Arno 1879 – Vittoria Apuana 1964).
It is signed and dated on the lower right.
This is one of the most beautiful graphic works of a leading exponent of Futurism and a master in drypoint.
Ardengo Soffici was an Italian painter, intellectual, poet and writer. He was an exponent of the Futurism even if his relationship with the movement had some moments of hostility.
In 1913, Soffici founded with Papini the Futurist magazine "Lacerba" where he published "Theory of the movement of plastic Futurism".
