About the Item

Horses in the Landscape is an original artwork realized by Jules Jacques Veyrassat in the second half of the XIX century. Original etching on paper. Proof before Letter. Passepartout included (21 x 29.5 cm). Very good conditions. Very fresh and delicate artwork representing several horses in nature. The figures are characterized by high contrasts and the composition is very small and refined. The artwork was realized by Jules Jacques Veyrassat (1828 - 1893). The artwork was realized by the French artist Jules Jacques Veyrassat (1828 - 1895). He was a pupil of Lehman and started exhibiting at the Salon from 1848, winning medals in 1866 and 1869 for engraving, a medal in 1872 for painting, and becoming a Chevalier of the Legion d’Honneur in 1878.
