Ludovico Caracciolo
Ludovico Caracciolo was a Roman landscapist and engraver, specialized in architectural drawings and panoramas of the Eternal City. Caracciolo loved traveling and drawing the most beautiful scenes he saw along the way. He became a protégé of Elizabeth Foster, the second wife of the fifth Duke of Devonshire, William Cavendish. He published a full set of print reproductions after Claude Lorrain's Liber Veritatis published in Rome in 1815 by Francesco Bourlié.
