About the Item
Son Altesse is a beautiful black and white etching, burin, aquatint and drypoint on paper realized by an unknown French artist.
Monogram "ES" on lower left margin.
Under the image there is the inscription on plate " ...Son Altesse sera grande brûleuse d'hérétiques", a quotation of "La légende et les Aventures héroique, joyeuses et glorieuses d'Ulenspiegel" written in 1867 by Charles De Coster.
Published by the French artist and engraver Auguste Delâtre, this modern artwork is in good condition, except for a diffused foxing on lower margin but beyond the marginal line of the matrix.
This original print has deep blacks seem to take shape from the bottom of the paper and come forward towards the hut.
