Author Jacques Norvins published one of the most comprehensive and influential histories on the life and military career of Napoleon, trough the works of the most important engravers of the time.

Napoleon I's exile to Saint Helena refers to the last years of his life, following his second abdication in 1815.
Napoleon attempted to reach the United States. Instead, the British government decided to take its most important prisoner to the island of St. Helena in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean so that he could no longer "harm the world". Here he died on May 5, 1821.
