Gorner was born in 1974 in St. Petersburg, Russia where she grew up and received her training. She currently works from her studio near Stamford, England. She was elected to the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers 2016. Her work often references the ambiguity of the self to the universe, taking inspiration from references to Shakespeare.
