The Sea and the Sky is an original Contemporary Artwork realized in Italy by Guelfo Bianchini (Ancona, 1937) in 1978.
Original colored Etching on paper. Image Dimensions: 25 x 23 cm
Hand-signed and dated in pencil by the artist on the lower right corner: Guelfo 78. On the lower left corner: p.a. rara (trad. Artist Proof - Rare).
Good conditions: a small fold along the right margin.
The Sea and the Sky is an interesting artwork realized in 1970s. The work depicts an interesting marine scene with a deep blue sky on the upper part of the sheet.
Guelfo Bianchini (Ancona 1937). Born in Fabriano in 1937, he lives and works in Rome, where he did his artistic studies. He has participated in international shows and collaborated with world-renowned artists such as Bartolini, De Chirico, Cocteau, Oskar Kokoschka and Marc Chagall. After a first experience in "living drawing" and in "advertising drawing" he devoted himself only to painting which he discovered as an autodidact. In 1960 he took interest in the human figure especially in the woman one, and he went on developing it for some years.

David Smith-Harrison studied at Utah State University and served as studio assistant to Adrian Van Stuchelen and Moishe Smith. In 1983 he traveled in Europe and studied at the Art and Design Faculty of South Glamorgan Institute in Cardiff, Wales. Before leaving for Europe, Smith-Harrison began an intense professional association as a studio assistant to artist Trevor Southey.
Smith-Harrison’s imagery is distinctive for its meticulous and studied execution and rigorous, demanding craftsmanship. The results are generally rich in subtle articulations and poetic spirit. His work is located in private collection in Japan, Taiwan, Republic of China, Spain and the United States.
