Laura Jordan artist and printmaker is often compared to some of the world’s greatest draughtsmen, Laura Jordan’s ability to put pen to paper and map out complex, yet aesthetically beautiful and stimulating cityscapes, is pure creative genius. Her fascination with society, in particular the issue of class in poorer urban living environments, is the stimulus of her creativity that subsequently has led to the depiction of the world’s major cities. Nestled into the narrative of each piece Laura’s work features thought provoking social commentary in the form of stories; usually of events and policies within the city she is depicting. Laura Jordan's journey began studying graphic design and editorial illustration at the London Collage of Communication (LCC) before selling limited edition prints on stalls at various markets around London, firstly Portobello, then Camden and Spitalfields. Four years later, and now exhibiting in over four continents, Laura has built up an international reputation with an expanding global audience and is continuing to expand her portfolio of world cities. Laura was born in 1984 and grew up in Haslemere Surrey.
