"Norman Ackroyd (RA) is one of Britain’s most celebrated living landscape artists. He is renowned for his evocative and atmospheric visions of the British Isles. Working in both etching and watercolour, he is equally as adept at capturing the calm of a Summer’s daybreak as he is the ferocity of a winter sea.
Born in 1938 in Leeds, he studied at Leeds College of Art (1957-61) and the Royal College of Art in London (1961-64). Ackroyd was elected to the Royal Academy of Art in 1988 and was appointed Professor of Etching, University of the Arts, in 1994. He went on to be elected Senior Fellow of the Royal College of Art in 2000, and in 2007 was made CBE for services to Engraving and Printing. For the past 30 years he has lived and worked in a former leather warehouse in Bermondsey, London."

Born in Greencastle, Indiana, Griffith grew up in Dallas, Texas where Texas artist and teacher Charles Franklin Reaugh recognized young “Griff’s” artistic talent. At age 18, Griffith moved to St. Louis where he attended the St. Louis School of Fine Arts.
