Original aquatint engraving of working river barges on the Seine in Paris, France. A horse drawn cart is seen loading or unloading product. Circa 1900. Signed by the artist in pencil lower right margin. Notice the Cathedral of Notre Dame and the Basilica of Sacre Coeur in the distant skyline. Condition is very good. Very nicely framed in a ornate Victorian style silver contemporary frame with light mint green gallery mat. Ready to hang. 0verall measurements 14 by 16 inches.
Very little is known of the artist Oscar F. Wyman. He is known to have lived in Oakland, California in 1899. Source: Edan Hughes, "Artists in California, 1786-1940"
