Pablo Picasso Exposition de Céramiques, 1958 features a whimsical smiling face. The face is encircled by a brown and black border. The face depicted by Picasso reflects the style of one of Picasso’s famous ceramics plates. The geometric facial features seen on this poster are common of his ceramic faces. This exceptional piece is an opportunity to see Picasso’s print interpretation of his ceramic works.
Created in 1958, this color lithograph on wove paper is hand-signed by Pablo Picasso in blue pencil in the lower right; also signed and dated in the plate ‘PICASSO 14.1.58’ and from the limited edition of 500; published by Maison de la Pensée Française; printed by Mourlot, Paris. This piece is in a 2" silver frame with 3 1/2" cream double mat and acrylic glazing.
